Most searchers are going to be using more than one keyword in their search query anyway, so we’ve got to consider keyword variations, or related keywords as well.

Other tools aside from ones like Ahrefs and Semrush are typically used to come up with a list of keyword variations, like People Also Ask (which shows up on the majority of Google search results pages), Answer the Public, and more.

Once a good list of keyword variations is chosen, the writer will target them throughout the SEO content to help make the content as relevant to the searcher intent for the core keyword as possible.
